It will provide you with a volunteer placement
and orientation only.

Steps to start volunteering

Fill in the online registration form for the volunteer area of your choice;

Send a $100 deposit to Rio Volunteer, which will be returned to you
after two weeks of volunteer work*;

Fly to Rio de Janeiro;

Meet with a Rio Volunteer team member and begin volunteering.

*Why to send a $100 deposit to Rio Volunteer?

We make no money off of these volunteer placements. This deposit is only to insure that we receive
serious candidates who come to Brazil to work in social institutions that are truly in need.
You will receive your deposit back after two weeks of volunteer work.

How to send the $100 deposit?

Up to you, we use mostly the Paypal platform (transfer fees will not be refunded).

If I need more services like housing, meals, Portuguese lessons?

You can upgrade to another program any time to receive these services.
